The 3D Innovation Center Berlin (3DIC) offers the worldwide unique opportunity of working together with over 50 partners in a pre-competitive environment to exchange knowledge, establish new contacts and create synergies. A platform of approx. 600 m² including a 3D live studio with director’s room, a 3D cinema and a showroom for prototypes and state-of-the-art equipment is open to all to test products and systems, find solutions and make joint presentations to a variety of diverse target audiences. The 3D Innovation Center already celebrated its 1st Anniversary after the inauguration by the German Federal Minister of Economics and Technology in August 2012.

At the 3DIC new synergies are generated by the availability of the abundance of know how covering the whole 3D value added chain – from entertainment in 3D at home or at the cinema to medical and industrial applications. Companies, institutions and research establishments partner with the 3D Innovation Center to create the future of 3D and beyond. A multi-tier partnership program – Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze – enables them to tailor their commitment to fit their interests, aims and objectives.

All partners value the innovative, inspirational ambience of the 3D Innovation Center. A manifold array of synergies – on the technological level, in the field of content creation, in the enhancement of production processes or the training of young 3D professionals – enables each partner to follow their own interests and goals.

Partners play a proactive role in shaping the course of the 3D Innovation Center – in the Steering Committee and the active working groups. The 3DIC is powered by the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute, which is responsible for the set-up and organization of the 3D Innovation Center.
