Located in the south west of Germany – 170 kilometres from Munich the capital city of Bavaria, Nuremberg is popularly seen as an example of a city which is rich in Germanic culture and imperial history.  Nuremberg a well developed modern city with a tinge of medieval feel is a lively city which will never bore its visitors. Not only packed with urban landscapes and modern architectures, at each corner of the city lie bits of monuments which traced back to the local tradition and historical past of the city.

 

A variety of place of interests can easily be spotted through out the city which range from modern high rised telecommunication broadcasting tower or simply called as Egg of Nuernberg (because of the shape of the tower similar to an egg’s) – also the tallest structure in the state of Bavaria to the ruins of the city wall and what is left of the Kaiserburg Castle, which is definitely the greatest landmark which should not be missed by anyone visiting Nuremberg.
  

  

Not only that, Nuremberg also caters an endless list of places to be seen like German Museum, Our Lady’s Church, Albrecht Duerer’s House and Hospice of Early Spirit and a wide programmes for culture and leisure activities like watching opera or ballet show at the State Theatre or even just spending the day under the sun while enjoying the beautifulness of our mother nature in the landscaped, near natural river meadows of the River Pegnitz.


Nuremberg is one of the rapid-growing tradefair locations in Europe with having an amount up to 100 events and 50 conferences annually. These events and conferences are attended by people not only from European countries but also from many people around the globe.

 

This year's EUSAR 2012 will be held at CCN Congress Centre Nuremberg which has the capacity of 11,000 seats.

Means of transportation in Nuremberg are top-class transportation network where it provides a dynamic transportation system for the visitors so that they will never encounter any problem in getting to their destinations. Visitors traveling by plane can make the nearest airport which is Nuremberg International Airport as their stop in Germany. Besides Frankfurt International Airport, they can also stop in Munich International Airport and from there take a Deutsche Bahn train to Nuremberg Main Train Station (Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof) which only takes about 2 hours. There is nothing to worry for those travelling by car because the city is surrounded by a network of motorways connecting it to all directions in Germany.
