The 35th European Conference and Exhibition on Optical Communication (ECOC 2009) will be held at the International Austrian Congress Center (ACV)  in Vienna, Austria from Sunday, September 20 through Thursday, September 24, 2009.

ECOC is the major European conference on materials, devices and systems for applications in photonic networks. From student to expert level, ECOC is recognized as an international forum for the optical communication community. Scientific contributions and a large exhibition provide a comprehensive view on all aspects of  optical communications. A special symposium, tutorials and invited papers will analyse the impact and role of photonic technology in present and future telecommunication networks.

Following a successful tradition ECOC 2009 will be accompanied by an exhibition where a full variety of hard- and software solutions related to the scope of the conference are being displayed. Over 1500 representatives from more than 50 countries are expected to attend. As in recent years we hope to attract more than 300 exhibitors to show up in Vienna.
