International Symposia 2014

Venue

Frankfurt am Main, the lively and diversified metropolis in the heart of both Germany and Europe, offers visitors a great deal of urban excitement. Frankfurt is moreover the largest European financial centre, the historical city of coronations and the city of Goethe. You will for sure be quite enthusiastic to discover the numerous sightseeing attractions Frankfurt is proposing.

At the city centre, one finds the historical Römer, Frankfurt Cathedral, St. Paul's Church and the Goethe-House within very close proximity to one another, yet still within sight of the modern banking district.

And if you find yourself on a shopping spree though downtown Frankfurt, make sure to take some rest in one of the many streetside cafés – it is the perfect way to take in the charm of the city. Something you should not miss is to taste the Frankfurt's local beverage, an apple wine, also known as "Ebbelwei". You will then experience the atmosphere that even Frankfurt's most famous son, Johann Wolfgang Goethe, would still easily recognise.

The view of Frankfurt's bold high-rise architecture is just as attractive and yet very different. Directly opposite the high-rise buildings, on the other side of the Main river, a unique collection of 13 museums has been developed and these are devoted to different works of art, from classical paintings to modern media.

The Kap Europa is Messe Frankfurt’s venue in Frankfurt’s central Europa district, directly next to the exhibition grounds and the new Skyline Plaza shopping centre.

Expandable and divisible conference rooms, plenty of glass and high ceilings create a unique setting in the Kap Europa. The light flooded foyers with a total area of 4,200 m² and built-in bar counters as well as a bistro in the basement offer plenty of room for exhibitions and catering. Magnificent views of Frankfurt’s skyline, the Messeturm and the neighbouring new Skyline Plaza shopping centre provide visitors and participants with the necessary inspiration.

A “green” building is built here out of sustainable materials and energy saving elements which is the first congress centre worldwide to receive a Pre-Certificate in Gold by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).

The Kap Europa congress centre is situated in the heart of Frankfurt am Main, in the Europa district which combines living, working and leisure. The entrance "City" to the Frankfurt exhibition grounds is only 250 metres away and the Skyline Plaza, a shopping and wellness centre with a 11,500 m² rooftop garden, fitness centre as well as numerous restaurants and shops, is also in the direct vicinity.
