About Halle
Halle, the cultural capital of the federal state Saxony-Anhalt is a hub for music, theatre, art and design. At the same time, Halle is a centre of scientific research, education and modern media. The rich history of the over 1200-year-old city is particularly visible in the city centre. Castles and museums, olden houses of worship, the picturesque Bergzoo and idyllic parks along the Saale river encourage lingering and exploring.
